Permanent make up / tattoo removal

Many patients ask me about pigment removal.

In my practice, I prefer two methods of permanent make up removal.

  1. Traditional opening of the skin and extracting the color with a cream – Depending on the density of the ink, it may take 2 to 5 visits to remove the color completely. There is a 4 week wait between appointments.  The area will be red for several days, but can be covered up with make up.
  2. Electro cauterization  – With use of heat, we are able to ‘fluff’ the upper layers of the skin and remove the ink. It may take up to 2 visits to remove the color completely.  The area will be red and with possibility swelling for a couple days, but can be covered up with makeup.

Both procedures are very effective in removing ink with out color change.
